I found this presentation quite difficult to watch due to the flashing images and colour changes.  I found the part about the Ocular Harpsicord interesting.

Making some progress on the cutlery now, a couple of samples have been made up, through this we have found a design flaw in that they are not very well balanced so we are trying out methods of weighting them down a bit.

Power of Making Exhibition in the Victoria & Albert Museum London
I was quite disappointed in this exhibition.  I expected it to be bigger than what it was and was expecting it to cover more of the traditional crafts, such as ceramics, glass and metalwork.  I was quite disappointed to see that part of the exhibition was focused on automated making, making using rapid prototyping.  I don’t consider this a craft form at all.  I was impressed by the crochetdermy bear.  I love the fact that she has used a very traditional craft to create something that is quite contemporary.
